This is identical to our Managed Divorce Service, however, an experienced solicitor will also prepare a tailored consent order incorporating the agreement you have reached with your ex-spouse.
This is one of our most popular services due to its value and peace of mind it provides to our customers.
Who is it suitable for?
This service is perfect for those couples who have reached agreement on both the divorce and division of the marital assets but need one of experienced in-house solicitors to deal with the paperwork.
You should choose this service if your agreement includes more complex marital assets such as:
- More than one property
- A pension
- Offshore/foreign assets
- Spousal maintenance.
We guarantee it will save you between £1200 and £1500 in legal fees when compared to the same service provided by a high street solicitor.
How does it work?
We prepare and process your divorce for you
We draft and file your consent order
We manage the court process on your behalf and keep you updated
You complete a straightforward questionnaire and we prepare the initial divorce petition within 48 hours. We deal with all correspondence to the court and any third parties. We also prepare the applications for Conditional Order (previously known as decree nisi) and the decree absolute. Please note court fees are payable prior to the filing of the petition , this is currently set by the UK courts at £593 for the divorce and £58 for an application by consent for a financial order. These fees are payable to us by bank transfer when the solicitor drafted applications have been approved by yourself. The fees will be paid directly to the court at the time of filing by ExD Legal Services. .
You will also complete a questionnaire on the agreement you have reached with your ex-spouse regarding the division of the marital assets. This will enable our solicitor to prepare a draft consent order for your consideration. If necessary, we will contact you for further details.
Depending on individual circumstances, we normally like to submit the consent order to the court soon after you receive the Conditional Order (previously known as decree nisi) which is approximately halfway through the divorce process.
Although we will regularly update you by email on the progress of your divorce, you will also have 24/7 access to our case tracker which we monitor daily. If there are any unexpected delays to your divorce, we will investigate on your behalf.
You would normally expect to receive your Final Divorce Order (previously known as decree absolute)and approved consent order within 24 – 28 weeks.
